John Kenneth "Ken" Gamble



LANCASTER, SC…Mr. John Kenneth “Ken” Gamble, 63, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born July 22, 1953 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Wesley Gamble and Billie June Baker Gamble and was the husband of Deborah Mathis Gamble. Ken was employed with Pinnacle Crane, a division of Carolina Tractor of Charlotte as service manager. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Ken was a very active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and taught the Cleatus McCorkle Sunday School Class. He was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.
Ken is survived by his wife of 43 wonderful and loving years, Deborah Mathis Gamble; a son, Kenneth Brent Gamble of Lancaster; a brother, James Douglas “Jim” Gamble and his wife, Paige of Mt. Pleasant, SC; many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ken will be 3:00 pm Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Bill McCown and Dr. Steve Stewart. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Welcome Center of the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church Foster Party, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
