LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Thomas Ross Bryson, age 63, died Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born October 24, 1954 in Brevard, NC, the son of the late Oscar Ross Bryson and Ruby Waters Bryson. He is the husband of Lora Potts Bryson. He retired from Bowater Corporation and was known as the “Man of Many Waterfalls”. Being from Brevard, he hiked the mountains of western North Carolina seeking beautiful waterfalls his entire life. He was a loving husband and father.
Tom is survived by his wife, Lora Potts Bryson; a daughter, Jennifer Bryson Wolfer and husband, Ariel Wolfer and their children, Lena and Livia Wolfer of Ashburn, VA; a son, Jacob Ross Bryson and his wife, Ashlynn Bryson and their daughter, Skylar Bryson of Independence, MO; a step-daughter, Christy Gray Lewis and her husband, Joseph Lewis and their sons, Landon and Cade Lewis of Cape Carteret, NC, and a step-son, Kenneth C. Gray, Jr. and his wife, Kristin Cribb Gray and their daughter, Savannah Nicole Gray of Swansboro, NC; and his mother and father-in-law; Randolph and Georgia Potts of Lancaster.
The family will accept friends from 2:00 – 5:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2017 at their home. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

We were so sad to hear of Tom’s passing. Sending you hugs and prayers! I thought of Tom when last week we were in in the mountains hiking to waterfalls. He was a gift to all who knew him!
