Celebrating the life of Bonita T. Laettner
Thank you for signing Bonita T. Laettner's Guestbook
Bonnie. Sweet Bonnie who had a heart of gold. Leanne, Leah, Chris, Christian, Katie and George, my sincere condolences. I have a Bonnie story that I feel I must share. It is the essence of WHO she was and HOW she touched my heart (and it had nothing to do with me.)
Bonnie was having a garage sale. Leanne and I were there. One of the local day habs was on an outing with several disabled individuals and they stopped to shop. I heard one young woman say to her worker that she needed to use the bathroom. The worker scolded her and told her she should have gone before they left. I was upset for this woman because, when you have to go, you have to go and nobody should be scolded for nature's call. As I was telling Leanne, Bonnie happened upon us. She asked what the problem was. I told her and she immediately marched over to this young lady and invited her in to use the facilities. As she did, she made sure the worker heard the conversation and the compassion Bonnie had for someone she didn't even know. She even asked if she would like something to drink. That was just one of the pure acts of kindness that earned Bonnie my deepest respect. She loved deeply and set many examples for others to follow. Casting kisses to heaven. Her kindness to me and my family will never, ever be forgotten. Love to you all.
