To the family, praying that You will be comforted in knowing that Donnie received his wings and will be watching over you from above. I knew Donnie well during our high school years and spent time with Donnie and Chris at 1st PH Church. I was honored to attend your beautiful wedding. May God provide the comfort and peace to you all during this time and months to come.

It was an honor to know Donnie, as his former colleague and friend. He as a very special soul and I will always cherish his memory. He told me many stories of his family - from parentel coaching advice and gift ideas (Enos for everyone) to kids slumber party tips (Army cots). He loved his family and talked of you all often around the office at NetApp. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved talking to Donnie. He was such a spectacular person - a true inspiration. We’re all better for knowing him.

It made me especially sad this morning to hear about this bright young man's early passage. I knew Donnie from my career at Duke Energy and thought he was such a warm, polite, and genuine person. Thankfully, I still have contacts at Duke that keep me informed when we lose a special person from our work circle of friends. Rest in Peace, Donnie.
