Thank you for signing Caroline Stroup Funderburk's Guestbook
So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Funderburk helped me along the way as I began my nursing career. My mother always considered her to be a dear friend and coworker.

Dear family, I am so sorry for your loss! I am sure that you already know that
this loss is Heaven's gain.
I was in the first nursing class taught by Mrs. Tuggie Funderburk at USCL.
I graduated in 1967 and went to work at Marion Sims Hospital immediately.
I worked there my entire career of 35 years. Tuggie was a wonderful person
and a fantastic nursing instructor. I never forgot the things she taught us which
laid the groundwork for us to build on to advance in our work. After I had been
working many years and was head of my unit, Mrs Tuggie came to work for me!!
I didn't know how I was going to handle haveing my own instructor work for me!
There was no problem, Mrs. Tuggie taught me how to handle that too!!! She was
truly a great lady in many ways. My prayers are with all of you as you adjust to
life without Mom around. Thank God we know that we will see her again!

Ms. Tuggie was such a beautiful Christian lady and such a caring nurse. Her compassion for her patients was absolutely contagious! She taught me so much during my nursing days at the hospital and the nursing home. She was so patient and kind to everyone. Her smile always brighten my day. I am praying for all the family. May the Lord wrap His arms around all of you and give you each the strength, mercy, peace, comfort and understanding that only He can during this difficult time and in the days, weeks and months ahead.
