D. Thomas Denton



LANCASTER, SC~ Mr. D. Thomas Denton passed away at his home, Thursday, February 1, 2018, surrounded by family and entered into his heavenly home with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Born October 10, 1942 in Lancaster, a son of the late J.B. and Eunice R. Denton. He retired from Accutrex Products, Inc. as a manufacturing Engineer. He loved being a member of the S.C. Campers on Mission which consisted of serving others and sharing Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and sharing his work with others. He is a very faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and in many other capacities.

Mr. Denton is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise and his sons, Thomas Jay Denton (Teresa), James Hugh Denton (Mandy), five grandchildren, Brittany Denton Harrison (Brandon), Chelsea V. Denton, Adam L. Denton, Grace S. Denton and Evan G. Denton. Two very special people in his life were his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Libby and Evylee Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerrill Denton and Robert Denton; and two sisters, Dot Threatt and Reba Harrison.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Denton will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 3, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Patrick Clark and Rev. Steve Pace. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, at the church and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 3731 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
