Lizzie Carter Pardue



WAXHAW, NC ~ Mrs. Lizzie Carter Pardue, 76, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Matthews Medical Center. She was born November 4, 1941 in Monroe, NC, a daughter of the late June Alexander Carter and Lillie Mae Helms Carter. She was married first to the late Marvin Rollins and second married to the late Tracy Pardue. Mrs. Pardue loved to cook, cross-stitch, sew and bake cakes and her specialty was her Orange Crush pound cake. She also loved her family and her work family. Mrs. Pardue retired from Duracell and was later employed with Virtual Imaging Technology. She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Pardue is survived by a son, Tony Rollins, and his wife, Amanda; two daughters, Felicia Osborne and her husband, Jack, and Tina Osborne and her husband, Terry; six grandchildren, Chris Merritt, Branden Osborne, Joey Osborne and his wife, Rachel, Nick Osborne, Zale Osborne, and Colton Martin; three great- grandchildren, Ava Wright, Caleb Osborne and Hannah Osborne, all of Waxhaw, NC; a brother, Donnie Carter, and his wife, Faye, of Monroe, NC; a sister, Betty Prosser and her husband, Ronnie, of Wingate, NC; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Carter of Monroe, NC.

Mrs. Pardue was preceded in death by two husbands; her parents; two brothers, Johnny Carter and Robert Carter; and a sister, Mary Tyson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Pardue will be 3:00 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC by Rev. Mitch Ingram and Rev. Mitch Gulledge. Burial will follow at Waxhaw Cemetery, 111 Arbor Drive, Waxhaw, NC 28173.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00-3:00 pm, at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church Missions Trip, 1697 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
