Mrs. Amy Jacquelyn McManus Rape “Jackie”, of Lancaster, passed away at her home Friday, July 13, 2018 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born February 5, 1933 in Lancaster, SC, Jackie was the daughter of the late Clayton McManus and Flossie Sistare McManus. Her family was the light of her life and she loved each and every one of them deeply. She was a lifelong member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She loved her church family and especially Preacher Brad dearly. She taught youth and adult Sunday School and Girls in Action for many years and loved and served her Lord her entire life. Jackie was a retired Correction Officer with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

Jackie is survived by her children, Pam Wright (Nelson), Sherry King (Wilson), Kim Beacham (Tommy) and Scott Rape (Annette); grandchildren, Kip Wright (Allison), Jamie Wright (Kisha), Jeremy Wright (Nicole), Kelan Wright, Amy Wright Johnson (Eric), Jesse Rape (Courtney), Joshua Rape and Jaden Rape; great grandchildren, Ali Grace, Austin and Mason Wright, Karson, Kade and Klayton Wright, Evan and Kennedy Wright; and two step granddaughters, Alexis Caronis and Chloe Zike. The family would like to thank their Mama’s very special caregiver, Linda Jordan and her special niece, Sue Robinson for their love and devotion to their mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clifford “Cliff” Rape, the love of her life; eight brothers and seven sisters; great granddaughter, Kayden Harper Wright and great grandson, Jamison Reid Wright.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Jackie will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2018 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Brad Threatt officiating, along with the Reverend Candace Sloan of Hopewell United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday evening at Burgess Funeral and Crematory.
