Rudell Adams Ellis



HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Mrs. Rudell Adams Ellis, 92, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at White Oak Manor. She was born May 5, 1926 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Hollis Adams and Nora Faulkenberry Adams and was the wife of the late Max R. Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker, a great seamstress and a wonderful baker. She was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, GA leader, VBS director, sang in the choir and led the WMU.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her children, Roger Ellis and his wife, Janice of Heath Springs, Maxine Catoe and her husband, Carl of Fort Mill, and Myron Ellis and his wife, Pamela of Heath Springs; seven grandchildren, Heather Holden (James), Adrian Ellis, Matthew Ellis, Mark Catoe (Sandy), Carla Santos (JT), Sarah Ellis and Samuel Ellis; and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, Max R. Ellis; her parents; four brothers, Haskell Adams, Melvin Adams, Seymour Adams and Harold Adams; and four sisters, Avis Hudson, Alma Roberts, Helen Hagins and Fanny Blackmon.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Ellis will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Fork Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Pittman and Dr. Bill Mackey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the Family Life Center and suggest memorial contributions to Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.

The family wants to give special thanks to her caregivers who cared for her when she was at her home; Kathy James, Linda Cline, Tabitha Kennington, Charlotte Aiello and Tess Sims.
