Harvey C. Reynolds



LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Harvey Coleman Reynolds, age 92, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home. He was born April 14, 1925 in Blythewood, SC, a son of the late Herman Reynolds and Alma Watts Reynolds and was the husband of the late Lottie McManus Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds retired from Springs Industries. He served our country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Reynolds enjoyed gardening, loved history, especially reading about the wars, and reading his Bible.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by a daughter, Sheila R. Barfield (Jesse); two grandchildren, Jessica B. Moak (Chris) and Jonathan H. Barfield; a brother, Eddie Reynolds (Ann); and four sisters, Carolyn Elliott, Azalee Jordan (George), Delores Altman (Jerry), and Wylene Allen (special friend, Shannon Trull); and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lottie; three brothers, Junius Reynolds, Eugene Reynolds and Don Reynolds; and a sister, Lila Linder.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Reynolds will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at White Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Don Waldrop and Rev. Bobby Henderson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10 – 11:00 am at the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720.
