JoAnne Williams Robinson



LEXINGTON, SC~ Mrs. Joanne Williams Robinson, age 82, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1935 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Clyde Elmore Williams and Ethel Horton Williams and was the wife of Malcolm N. Robinson. Mrs. Robinson was employed with Springs Industries-Customer Service for many years and later was a real estate agent. She was a very loving and caring lady and her grandchildren were very special to her. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church and a former member of Second Baptist Church of Lancaster.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband of 43 years, Malcolm N. Robinson; three sons, Mike Catoe and his wife, Lynn of Lancaster, Rick Robinson and his wife, Gail of Jefferson, and Maxie Robinson and his wife, Edie also of Lancaster; two daughters, Michelle Kahler and her husband, Guy of Camden and Lori Kumar and her husband, Ravi of Bentonville, AR; seven grandchildren, Samantha Ingram and her husband, Gabe, Chance Kahler, Amy Kahler, Michael Catoe, Jamie Gustein, Jessica Carter and Neil Kumar; and five great-grandchildren, Avery and Gabe Ingram, Jr. and Donte, Bree and Austin Carter.

Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Randy Williams and Jimmy Williams and a sister, Brenda Cauthen.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Robinson will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington, SC by Pastor Mike Turner and Rev. Dan Williams. A graveside service will be 3:00 pm in Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Larry Helm.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 am, in the Chapel of Lexington Baptist Church and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Lexington Baptist Church Missions, 308 E. Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072 or Second Baptist Church Missions, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
